Our end of the year report! Our planting season is March through November. Here's what we planted this year: 107 total!!
From our own nurseries: transplanted, started from seeds:
3 Rocky mountain junipers
1 Argentina D'anjou Pear
1 Apricot
6 apples
4 Siberian C Peach (seeds were bought from a nursery in Kansas)
1 Asian Pear
Plants purchased from Plants of the Southwest in Santa Fe:
2 Nanking cherry bushes
1 Kansas Hawthorne (Tooley's)
1 Hazelnut
Rootstock from Willamette Valley Nursery:
22 Mariana Plums
Cuttings from our own willows:
60 peach leaf willow
5 Blue Stem willows
Besides the trees, we planted the following:
Apple/pear nursery that produced 105 seedlings that we will plant out in the coming years
Asparagus/veggie bed
Sunflower patch that produced 100+ beautiful blossoms
You'll notice the large, elevated basins... We have very high water, and have learned over our 17 years of growing on this land, that this is necessary for happy trees!
It was a great year, and we are looking forward to next season!! Thanks for witnessing our progress 🙏💖🌻🌳🍎
